Auger Boring

Horizontal Auger Boring is a trenchless technology used for installation of metallic or concrete pipelines of diameters between 100 and 1500 mm in soft ground without boulders.

The drilling is performed by means of an axial bit with chisel type cutting edges.

The excavation wastes are evacuated by the auger through the pipe to the start of the excavation.

This technology allows to install pipelines 240 m long with direction control in 360º horizontal and vertical. It is a useful procedure within passings under structures of any kind, water bodies or buildings. (Victor Yepes)
