Auger Drills

Bores are usually completed from a launch shaft to a target or reception shaft.

In case of short drive lengths - where accuracy is not required - the bore can be performed Non-guided as Greater accuracy can be achieved when using long casings.

In cases of longer drive lengths or where a highly accurate bore is required, the guided method must be used. A guided bore can be done with the use of pilot rods or a steerable auger.

In special cases bores are performed out of a launch shaft without reaching a target shaft, referred to as dead end boring. Normally this concerns connecting line bores. Such a dead end bore is also possible with underground connection to an existing sewer line without excavation.

Drilling equipment

Bohrtec have been developed five basic systems wich cover the complete range of auger drills sizes.

•  BM 600 for construction of collectors up to OD 1.200 mm.

•  BM 500 for construction of small collectors from ID300 to ID800

•  BM 400 for constructions of small collectors up to ID400.

•  BM 150 D for trenchless construction of connection channels.

•  BM 150 DT for construction of houss connections direct from
main collector sewers 1.200 mm, internal diameter.
